>> Download the M7220 Configuration Utility

Next Step
The M7220 contains a very powerful diagnostic and system management tool built-in to every unit through the embedded HTTP web server. Simply enter the unit's IP address into any web browser on a PC residing on the same network as the M7220 to access the web server. To access the embedded website, a password must be entered. This password will match the Administration Settings Password if set, or will default to 'aml'.

Once access has been granted, the web server will provide four (4) options.

Select 1) Update Firmware

The primary M7220 firmware can be uploaded to the device via this interface. This utility can be used to flash the system firmware of the M7220 device. The M7220 uses two files, the firmware (.m7x) and the secondary software (.m7l). Simply select the "M7220 Firmware Image (m7x)" option, click "Browse" and select the firmware file which was previously downloaded. After the file has been selected, click "Upload file".

This file will be uploaded to the M7220 device and the update will be started. If the device is currently in use, a warning message will be displayed to the user during the reflash process. The device will then reboot normally with the updated firmware image. To affirm this, select the [F5] Diagnostic menu option and [enter] on the Software icon.

After the unit reboots, return to the "Update Firmware" screen on the web interface and repeat this process to update the Secondary Software (.m7l) file.
