New KDT900/750 configuration for optional barcode scanners

Both the KDT750 and the KDT900 now support two additional configurations for optional barcode scanning. At the time of product release, the only available options for integrated barcode scanning, was a one-dimensional (1D) CCD scan engine, and a two-dimensional (2D) imager. There are now two additional options available.

Integrated 1D laser scan engine:

The 1D laser scan engine provides higher performance than the 1D CCD scan engine in terms of depth of field and a faster read rate. It is priced midpoint between the CCD and the 2D imager. The basic part number configuration for this option is as follows: KDTXXX-XXX3

External Omni-directional Laser:

The external omni-directional laser allows users to present a barcode in any orientation for scanning. The laser also has a faster read rate and a more forgiving depth of field than the 2D imager. Note that this option does require the user to mount the laser assembly onto the KDT unit, and connect a cable into a USB port.
